Town-aware place search
The selected booking town moves the map and anchors pickup and destination results. Wider area is the default; Town/village only remains available for a tighter search.
Saved and recent places
Saved places return immediately, while recent destinations reduce repeated Google searches and make familiar trips faster.
Fair, exact-type dispatch
Requests stay within the selected vehicle category and nearby pickup boundary. Reputation, proximity and waiting fairness shape normal offers.
Private trip communication
After acceptance, both sides see the Driver approach, distance and ETA. Chat and approved masked or in-platform calling use names and roles without showing either person's phone number.
Preferred Drivers
After a completed trip, a Passenger can like or save the Driver, see when that Driver is available, and send a direct request without forcing acceptance.

Each monitoring period begins with a fresh request and Driver acceptance. Approval lasts for 24 hours and can be revoked by the Driver at any time.

Responsible rollout

A small invited Tamale cohort will validate the complete service first. After the legal, safety and product gates pass, the public tricycle launch is intended to cover all five Northern Ghana regions. The app already searches Ghana's 15,925-town-and-village catalogue, while an actual ride still depends on a cleared nearby Driver of the selected type.

Yellow Yellow takes no percentage of passenger fares. The first launch uses Standard navigation in Northern Ghana. Owners buy Monthly operating seats for linked Drivers.
Planned app-store feedback cohort
No external participant cohort is active today. After the applicable national-agency and MMDA process and app-store approval, Yellow Yellow plans to invite a small group through the official store apps, initially protected by the existing 20-person cap. They will not pay for access or receive a reimbursement. Payment-system development remains on hold while the incorporated Company completes merchant onboarding and controls.

Standard navigation uses Google road routes without live traffic. The accepted fare is locked before the trip, and actual elapsed time cannot increase it. Live Traffic and Hybrid waiting are prepared for a future release but are not available at launch. The prices above are proposed commercial prices and cannot currently be purchased. Owner access is Monthly only. Access belongs to the approved account and cannot be shared.

We are building a permanently remote-first, automation-first company. In every market and at every stage, routine onboarding, education, access checks and approved-template marketing run online; accountable people retain control over safety, legal, financial and other high-impact exceptions.

Is every Yellow Yellow ride private?
Yes. The founding product does not allow shared rides or unrelated passenger pickups during your booking.
How many people may travel in a tricycle?
Up to three passengers may use the rear passenger area. Nobody may sit in front or beside the driver.
How is the passenger fare calculated?
For tricycles, the current formula is GHS 2 service amount plus GHS 2 per Google road kilometre, with a GHS 3 minimum. Cars use GHS 4 plus GHS 3 per kilometre, with a GHS 6 minimum. Both round once to the nearest whole cedi. A normal car quote is therefore about one and a half times the tricycle quote for the same route. The fare is locked before request, so slow driving cannot increase it.
Does Yellow Yellow take commission from drivers?
No. The approved business model uses account-bound Driver and Owner access periods instead of taking a percentage of the passenger fare. Authentication phone numbers remain private and are not used as public access identifiers.
Which ride types can I request?
After approval, tricycle is the active founding service across the five Northern Ghana regions. Car is a growing category there, while car and tricycle discovery elsewhere in Ghana is supply-led. Every request still needs a qualified nearby Driver of the exact selected type. Motorbike service is temporarily on hold and may be introduced later through a separately approved release.
What happens to Driver document photos?
They remain private and are reviewed by authorised staff. Every submission needs a human decision; automated AI document screening is not used.
Can another user see my phone number?
No. Your authentication phone number is used privately for sign-in, account security and recovery. Passengers, Drivers and Owners see names and roles in trip communication, not one another's phone numbers. This reduces unnecessary disclosure and unwanted contact while keeping ride coordination inside the protected trip record.

External field testing is paused. Incorporation was completed on 6 September 2026. Yellow Yellow is now preparing the required national-agency and MMDA engagement, merchant onboarding, and App Store and Google Play release readiness. The first small feedback group will install from the official stores after those gates pass. No unrestricted public rides or payments are open yet.
